Scanner does not work as user

I edited /etc/sane.d/mustek_usb.conf (mustek usb scanner):
commented out all things like:
# Autodetect 1200 CU
usb 0x055f 0x0001
Added th line above.
After that even under root scanimage -L was unable to find the scanner.
But thx for the idea.
