This is probably something you should take up with the GNOME
accessibility people as well as well as the folk with the tts behind it;
if the product becomes usable in the next release cycle (i.e. GNOME 2.8,
and possibly FC3), this might become a reality (and all before OS X
10.4, with Spoken Interface gets rolled out)
