If that is the case, then you might want to try the workaround that some
of us used back with FC1:

./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run --add-this-kernel

That should then create a new installer called:

./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1-custom.run

Run the second 'custom' installer and see if that works.
