screwed up rpm - how do I recover

I have no solution for you, as I have the same problem(s)
Can't yum or up2date. FC3t1 won't boot into rescue mode, rpm has a
bajillion dependencies! Not to mention the screwed up xinitrc making
the reboot an additional joy.
Well at least if I can't help you, you know you're not alone!
