I just installed it... after I got rid of all the OpenGL library 
conflicts it works great!

[csm at stealth csm]$ glxgears
25328 frames in 5.0 seconds = 5065.600 FPS
28331 frames in 5.0 seconds = 5666.200 FPS
26091 frames in 5.0 seconds = 5218.200 FPS
26157 frames in 5.0 seconds = 5231.400 FPS
28310 frames in 5.0 seconds = 5662.000 FPS
