Looks great!  Torrent rocks.  Tyan Thunder K8S (S2880GNR), one Opteron240
CPU, one 512MB DIMM, booting "linux text acpi=off" from boot.iso, install
worked first time and booted with no hitches.  GRUB serial console works.

It didn't offer to create a boot diskette; is that a known change?
