I am using Fedora Core 2.

My section indeed is as above:
===========================================================================
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 4 (generic)"
EndSection
===========================================================================
What linux kernel are you using?
What version of gcc are you using?
For me:
linux kernel -- kernel-2.6.7-1.471
gcc -- gcc-3.4.0-7
To build the driver I am doing the following:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6106-pkg1.run --add-this-kernel
I will read the instructions and try again
