ATI Drivers fail with latest fglrx-4.3.0-3.7.6

We're having problems with the FC2 test 1 release and the 2.6.3-2.1.253 
kernel using the proprietary ATI fglrx 3.7.6 drivers. It gives us an 
"incompatible device" error message, as you can see in this rage3d thread:

It works with a vanilla 2.6.3 kernel, but not with the one available in 
FC2 test 1.
