Tomcat on x86_64 and i386 errors :(

It's a known bug -- I've been working on it for a couple of days now.
Good to know that it happens on i386 too (I'm developing on x86_64
these days).

The stuff in FC2 is pretty much what Naoko was, but with a different
compiler.
