I have always used the modules from http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/,
is there anything in Core 2 that will prevent the use such packages?
I really hope we won't have to deal with any thing harder than this: 

1. install the rpm, 
2. modprobe the module 
3. mount the partition
