Fedora 2 Final - yum/up2date vs. ISO's

Technically impossible no, but it still should not be done (IF you
expect things to go smoothly).  We all know that linux affords enough
freedom in methodology that you could go to extreme lengths to do this
the wrong way.. and end up with the same product.  That doesn't indicate
people (who need to *ask* if its reasonable) should be doing it.

In the least, there will be problems with the kernel change, xorg-x11
upgrade, and config files (in many locations being left as .rpmnew).
There are more.. but those alone are enough to suggest that anyone who
needs to ask about this should not be doing it.

Use the boot.iso and upgrade install from the net or make a local
repository and do the same... the benefits outweigh the work.
