Thorsten,

You may need to add a soft link between /usr/src/linux and your
/usr/src/linux-2.6.xxxxx directory so the vmware-config.pl utility can
find the version.h file in /usr/src/linux/include.

BTW, there's also a VMware-4.5.1-7568 you'll probably want to upgrade to.
