New FC3 Kernel causes panic

Yeah, for some reason, with an earlier version of the update kernel, I ended
up with an empty (12k, but nothin' in it) initrd image. And it had the same
symptom -- kernel panic with a message about not being able to find logical
volumes But I couldn't repeat it, which is always frustrating.
