What is up with ark ?

It's under "System Tools" -> "Archive Manager"
I doubt anyone is trying to ween people off of file-roller; it was
probably just a general, uncoordinated, menu structure decision.
File-roller is the "official" GNOME archive manager, while ark is a KDE
app.
