hi,

I have two cdrw burners in my box, but only one is found with
$cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01-dvd (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg

scsidev: 'ATA'
devname: 'ATA'
scsibus: -2 target: -2 lun: -2
Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
cdrecord: Warning: using inofficial libscg transport code version

this one is attached on /dev/hdd and it works Ok.

But second drive is scsi, and is also found by my kernel:
$dmesg | grep -i scsi
SCSI subsystem initialized
ahc_pci:0:10:0: Host Adapter Bios disabled. Using default SCSI device
parameters
scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36
         <Adaptec 2902/04/10/15/20C/30C SCSI adapter>
         aic7850: Single Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 3/253 SCBs
(scsi0:A:3): 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 15)
Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 24x/24x writer cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray

Should I insert some module to get it working, I also notice that there
is no device for scsi cdrw?!?

Any suggestions?

regards bruma
