NVIDIA with games experience....

You may have to use the 16k stack kernel...  The kernel that comes with
FC2 doesn't work real well with the NVIDIA driver.  You can get the 16k
stack kernel at:

http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wlan/full/downloads-fc2-kernel-i686.php

You might just try that and see if it helps any.
