I started down this road when I went to add the "wireless monitor"
applet to my FC3 task bar on my Dell laptop. It added an applet that
reports the network manager is not running. After some searching around
on the web I found that I could start the NetworkManager service which I
did. Now the applet complains that there are no devices available....
So my questions are:
0. Is the network manager ready for prime-time? Why is the "wireless
monitor" applet dependent on it when it can't recoginize my wireless card?
1. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove the applet. My normal
method of right clicking to get the action menu where I can usually
"remove applet" only shows the "network manager not running" dialog
2. What is the magic of configuring the network manager service?
