The 39 devel packages were installed when the OS was installed. I am wondering why several of these devel packages are installed when no other software has them as a dependency. For example none of the installed packages have a dependency on rpm-devel, but rpm-devel was still installed. Why? Do I really need the libstdc++-devel package? Thanks, Jason
