Also, 

     I also notice that during the install, if you choose to only install the 
KDE desktop environment, you always have to choose in the sessions menu on 
startup "KDE" or otherwise you will get an X Window display.  Isn't there a 
setting that would allow you to set KDE as the default setting instead of 
getting a X Window display?
