Sound Card Recognized but No Sound

AFAIK, we have the same problem.  Same soundcard, similar symptoms,
etc.   

I reinstalled to FC3rc3 last night and it is still the same.   I posted
this problem to bugzilla as issue #137579  I probably won't do anything
with it until someone gives me some concrete info on why it might be
happening.
