i used an Mustek MFC-600S on aic7xxx and currently on ncr53c8xx and
never had problems, but i never used kooka, i always used xsane on this
scanner, dont ask, why, i donno.
currently i tryed kooka, try to select the current scanner and i saw, i
saw nothing :( nothing happens on kooka - unusable for me here.
maybe tryout xsane.
to get my scanner to work, i have to sudo xsane, otherwise no scanners
were found - some permission discrepancies.
regards
Michael
