Actually, and I'm embarrassed to say this, but I've never used CD-RW's
with linux.  Not that I never wanted to, but always had another way of
getting data from one location to another, scp, ftp, etc.  Any thing I
needed to burn was usually permanent data, so I always used CD-R's for
it.
