Java and Epiphany

Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier message.
Although the check box for turning on Java in Epiphany was clicked when
I first brought up my browser, I got the message that the plugin needed
to be installed. However, after unclicking it, closing Epiphany,
restarting Epiphany and clicking the box to enable java in the privacy
tab of preferences Java then worked. I don'r know enough about how this
works but it might be something to do with the installation scripts.
BTW, where are the plugins for Epiphany kept? I tried searching for
folders, including hidden files and folders, related to Epiphany and/or
plugins but couldn't find anything.
My problem with symbolic links was my mistake, a finger left the Shift
key one character too soon. But the Right click->Make link dialog
doesn't work (I'm using Gnome).
