kernel 541 ext3 errors: Unknown symbol journal_force_commit

Or set the magic GAWK_NO_DFA=1 env

after that you can easily rebuild your initrd with 

mkinitrd -v -f /boot/to-your-initrd whatever_kernel_version 

Works for me with the actual gawk  and current kernels
