Hello,

I had this problem with some savage-based videocards. It used to return
me to a blank screen, where I could use after some ctrl-alt-minus. this
is savage specific, as it happens with knoppix, conectiva, kurumin and
debian also. In fact, I have to ctrl-alt-minus to begin installation.
