thanks for this hint.
what happened with rpmdb-fedora ?
i thought it is necessary for  '--whatprovides & co' but is not present 
in fc4t2.
i should not think.

$
$ rpm -qa \*rpmdb\*
$

$ rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++  libstdc++.so.5

compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4
