I don't think that the original mistake was yours, but that is way off topic.
I have used Redhat since about 4 something or other, Debian, Ubantu, FreeBSD -
it depends on the job. There are still some things on XP that Linux can't
touch for ease, if little grace. I just won't store data that I need there.
Hey, System Commander is an excellent boot loader/manager, I have used it on
several systems.
