    I just checked and yum says it will install audacity o.k.  So 
evidently you have some other problems.  You may want to check for 
duplicate rpm's (I had to remove a dozen of these be4 I could update).

    Try doing a cat /var/log/rpmpkgs | sort and look through the list 
for them.
