Bootloader gone

Hi,

I'm still trying to get my main box at work to boot and have tried just
about everything (it gives an error when mounting the lvm groups
saying /etc/lvm/backup/fstab: invalid option and then kernel panic
shortly after).

I think I know what the problem is now, but have no idea how to fix it.
I have no bootloader. I've tried to install a fresh one from the distro
discs, but it comes up saying I have no kernels installed (which is
garbage - I know 12-1.1395_FC5 is on there as well as 11-1.1369_FC4).

How do I fix this problem or is it a case of reinstalling completely?

TTFN
