Continuing Synaptic Touchpad issues..

I have same problems with synaptic and ALPS touchpad.
I had to revert to 2.6.10-770 kernel. 

Apparently there is a new synaptic release 0.14.1 if
you want to compile from src. I haven't tried it
myself.
