Dear Jeff Spaleta: I could not see your 2.6.14-1.1668 kernel in the link you provided but i did see a 2.6.14-1.1666. So I installed that one and it seemed to fix my problem. When I inserted the Bar it was mounted correctly and an icon was added to the desktop. I also dumped a file to it just to make sure it was working.
