USB Memory Bar

Well what a pain. Kernal-2.6.14-1666 only works for USB if you insert your 
Bar before Hal crashes. Hal
seems to crash all on it own about 20 seconds after you start up gnome. Once 
you start Hal back up and modprobe -r hfc_usb it seems to stay up and you 
can again plug in your memory bar.

The only time I see those missing or invalid vendor messages that others are 
reporting is after HAL has crashed.
