Temporarily you can run such a command:

_POSIX2_VERSION=199209 sh nsmlinuxv2_6_00.bin

If you want this variable to be set permamently, create for example 
/etc/profile.d/my_settings.sh file with 0755 permissions and this content:

export _POSIX2_VERSION=199209
