That's factually incorrect.  There are even alternative mirrorlist still in
http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/
for rawhide.

The one mirror in the default rawhide mirrorlist might be an artifact
of the serverside redirector implementation was being attempted. We'd
need clarification from Eliiot Lee about that.
