gaim-2.0.0-0.22.beta5 crash on start up

Just did an yum update on my FC 6 box and now gaim crashes on start up
anyone have any ideas?

output from starting gaim in a terminal as follows

$ gaim
libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error.
  (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files
Gaim has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.
