Latest Rawhide kernel doesn't boot

I have the same problem in a desktop. In this case the service where it 
freezes is gpm. When reading /var/log/messages there is no extra information.

The network card is a Silicon integrated System [SiS] SiS900 PCI Fast Ethernet 
(rev 90)
