F8t1+updates: Can't log in as root

[Mogens Kjaer]

After yum updating today, I can't log in as root
on the graphics login screen. I can switch into
text mode and do a root login.

How do I:

1. fix this
2. remove the warning that I've logged in as root

Has Fedora gone totally Ubuntu? :-)
