can't move window to another workspace

  i just noticed that i can't select an arbitrary window and move it
to another workspace by giving the workspace number (1, 2, 3 or 4),
but i *can* simply move that same window "left" or "right" by one
workspace.

  has anyone else noticed this?  has it been bugzilla'ed already?  a
quick search didn't turn anything up, but perhaps i missed it.
