You will find there also possible workarounds.  Yes, multiple.

Out of curiosity - is your system i386 or x86_64?  If not x86_64
then please add a corresponding note there.  I would be somewhat
surprised to find that issue architecture dependent but so far
known instances are reported for x86_64.
