Ernest may have been using ipw3945 rpms from atrpms.net.
They're not always immediately updated, though there
seems to be new modules for kernel 2895 as of today.

Though last time I updated, it didn't work for me,
even though I had updated to a matching kernel module.

Hopefully, FC7 will have "wireless that just works"
for ipw3945 ...
