2.6.20-1.2985.fc7 won't boot -- Fails to start INIT

My machine is a HP dv1240us.
2.6.20-1.2981.fc7 boots fine.
I tried changing the ROOT=UUID... to ROOT=/dev/sda6, but that didn't help.
