try the kernel from here:
http://people.redhat.com/davej/kernels/Fedora/fc7/RPMS.kernel/
there has been many important fixes in the newer iwlwifi releases 
(include for the dma problem you are seeing).
it works fine for me with nm + wpa and with wpa_supplicant  + wpa.
