I ran into this very issue the other day...
I don't know why it's doing this, but go to "View" then deselect the
"Atmosphere" option (last one on the list), and it will start working
normally again.
I don't know if this is a bug in google earth or a bug in the intel
video driver. ;(

Only in that applications upstream bug tracking database I would
think... unless it can be proven to be a intel video driver bug.
Do folks with non intel video see this same thing?
