Andrew  thats not quite right. kernel-devel are only the development
libraries for the kernel, not the sources. For the kernel source you need to
do the following:

# yum install yum-utils
yumdownloader --source kernel
# rpm -ivh kernel-whatevertheversionis.src.rpm
