Resume fails

My laptop wont resume, resume worked for me (mainly) in Fedora 7 excluding
wireless https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=311701

I have a dell 6400 with Intel graphics and use the iwl3945 driver

I had to modify /etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules with SUSPEND_MODULES="b44
iwl3945 mac80211" to get it to resume in Fedora 7

I am running the  x86_64 flavour of Fedora 8

Is this common / known? Is there a workaround?
