issue with updatedb

locate seems to be failing for me:

[root at id10t ~]# locate yu
locate: can not open `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db': No such file or
directory

So I tried to update my db and received this error message

[root at id10t ~]# updatedb
updatedb: src/updatedb.c:730: scan_cwd: Assertion `name_size > 1' failed.
Aborted

Please let me know if you need any more information.
