X disconnects - gnashing my teeth

Oooh, good find.  Last time I tried to use gnash I would frequently get
dumped to TTY1 'cause X lost it's mind and shut down.  Glad that
somebody else is seeing something similar.

If you haven't already, I'd start a bug on this and see where that
leads.
