Fedora 9 Preview

I'm trying to install FC9 preview- live-KDE on a mini-laptop Everex 
CloudBook, 7" screen 800x600
i'm having problem of getting video to work correctly when booting CD, 
this laptop has a VIA CX700M2 Unichrome
chipset but I don't think Linux has a driver for it yet. the Video is 
normally run with a 800x600 Vesafb driver, how can I set
the video resolution before starting boot process ?
There are a couple of drivers for audio and webcam that are supposed to 
be in kernel-2.6.25 for this laptop.
