That was my impression as well.  FEDORA-2008-10290,
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-package-announce/2008-December/msg00629.html
as an example, says 'This update can be installed with the "yum"
update program' evidence to the contrary.  OTOH gimp-2.6.3-2.fc9 is
present on mirrors as it was supposed to.
