firefox-3.0b3pre not working from panel, works from menu

Dear all,

Firefox fails to launch from panel icon next to System
and to the left of Email(evolution)

Could not launch application

Failed to execute child process
"/usr/lib/firefox-3.0b3pre/firefox" (No such file or
directory)

It works from the menu 
Applications -> Internet -> Firefox Web Browser 

Is it is not pointing the correct executable? or
